Quango-Bingo Travels: France, March 2012 - Day 2 (continued): The Pine
There is one pine tree in my mum’s garden and, whilst it never has as many tiny creatures living in it as I would like (as far as I can tell), it is both beautiful and magnificent.
I love the way that it always gives a touch of colour to the place and (yet another) one of my favourite Spring things is the fresh, smooth, bright green of new pine needles.
This post is a tribute to evergreens.

The texture and the shape
This post is dedicated to all you wonderful people who have welcomed me back after my break. I have been through all your (many!) comments and they have made me feel so loved. You guys are all so very ace.

The moment of joy when - after trying (and failing) to find good light to photograph a leaf - you decide to hold it in front of the lens and point it at the sun.

Hello everyone! And thank you for all your coments and ‘likes’ while I was away. They were very much appreciated. I am now officially back (after a 22-hour delay in Boston).
Look out in the not-too-distant future for some shots from my trip. Unfortunately, the weather has been too wet this year for proper ‘fall colors’ in Maine, but I did take a whole HEAP of pictures, which I will be sorting through in the next couple of weeks…
