About this blog:

A semi-random collection of pictures of various things in various places at various times - updated daily unless & until I run out of material...

All shots are taken by me and almost all with a Canon Powershot G9. As yet, I have no extra equipment or lenses to go with the camera, but I'm hoping this will change soon...

This is my main blog. For my art 'swaps', see:

About Quango-Bingo:

This is a simple game played by two or more people where words or phrases are 'traded' in turn by players.

Rules:

- All words/ phrases must have two syllables
- The second syllable must be an 'o' sound
- Repetition and hesitation are not allowed

For such a simple game, it can get quite tricky - especially if a lot of people are involved.

Quango-Bingo Travels: France, March 2012 - Day 3: Reptiles (continued)

To the Reptile House!!

There is a place - a tiny, warm place - where they have the most lovely little collection of reptiles. It’s called the Ile aux Serpents and it’s well worth a visit! I spent a whole afternoon there, snapping away at the very obliging animals. Here is a selection of their lizards. Apologies if one or two are slightly out of focus.

The snakes will come tomorrow… and the day fater that… and the day after that!

You cannot say I didn’t warn you!

Quango-Bingo Travels: France, March 2012 - Day 3: Reptiles

Day 3 was all about the reptiles. As I have previously mentioned: there will be snakes - but not yet. Today’s post is all about the lizards!

I love lizards. Mainly because they are the the reptiles I have had most contact with in the wild. They are quick - too quick to catch - but you can get some really nice shots with a bit of patience (and a good zoom!).

I like their cheekiness and the fact that they look like dinosaurs.

I am easily pleased :)
