Featuring lichen on a terracotta roof, the remains of Team A’s nest from last year, star-shaped nails on the greenhouse door and soot in the wood-burner.
Aside from miniature worlds and tiny beasties, I really love finding patterns, textures and shapes when I’m out with my camera. I really think that, when you get in close, things take on a whole new aspect. Truly magical.

Hello everyone! And thank you for all your coments and ‘likes’ while I was away. They were very much appreciated. I am now officially back (after a 22-hour delay in Boston).
Look out in the not-too-distant future for some shots from my trip. Unfortunately, the weather has been too wet this year for proper ‘fall colors’ in Maine, but I did take a whole HEAP of pictures, which I will be sorting through in the next couple of weeks…
